Your rights and responsibilities when signing documents electronically with EasySign

1. Introduction

This E-Signature Disclosure and Consent ("Disclosure") explains how EasySign provides documents, agreements, and records electronically and obtains your electronic signature.

By using EasySign, you agree to receive documents electronically and to sign them using electronic signatures.

Your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.

2. What Electronic Records You Will Receive

By using EasySign, you agree that we may provide you with the following electronically:

  • Documents that require your review or signature
  • Notices, disclosures, and confirmations
  • Completed documents after signing
  • Audit trail and transaction records
  • Correspondence related to your signing session

You may receive these via:

  • Email
  • Direct download from EasySign
  • In-app notifications
  • Links sent to you securely

3. Your Right to Use Electronic Signatures

By proceeding, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your electronic signature is legally binding.
  • You intend to sign the document electronically.
  • You are authorized to sign the document.
  • You understand that signing electronically is voluntary.

If you do not agree, you may decline to sign electronically.

4. Hardware & Software Requirements

To sign electronically, you must have:

Required Hardware

  • A computer, tablet, or smartphone
  • An internet connection

Required Software

  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
  • Ability to read PDF documents
  • Ability to receive email

For Record Retention

You should download and store a copy of the signed document and audit trail.

5. Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time before signing by:

  • Closing the signing session
  • Contacting the sender directly

If you withdraw consent, you may still be able to complete the transaction using a handwritten signature, depending on the sender's policies.

After you have electronically signed a document, the signature cannot be withdrawn.

6. Requesting Paper Copies

You may request a paper copy of any document you sign electronically by contacting the sender.

Paper copies may be subject to additional processing time.

You can also download your documents at any time from EasySign.

7. Updating Your Contact Information

It is your responsibility to ensure your email address and contact information are accurate.

If you need to update your information, contact the sender of the document.

8. Security & Verification

EasySign uses industry-standard security measures, including:

  • Encrypted signing links
  • Access authentication measures
  • Secure audit trail logging
  • IP address and timestamp recording
  • Document integrity protection

These measures help verify your identity and protect the integrity of your signature.

9. Consent to Do Business Electronically

By checking the consent box and signing electronically, you agree that:

  • You can access electronic records
  • You understand this Disclosure
  • You consent to using electronic signatures
  • You consent to receiving documents electronically

This consent applies only to the specific transactions you complete on EasySign.
